Munich was founded in 1939 near Barcelona. The brand originally specialized in manufacturing technical soccer shoes. In the 1970s, five-a-side indoor soccer suddenly became wildly popular in Spain. Almost all the players of that game had a pair of Munich's as their favorite shoes. With the arrival of specialty sports brands on the scene, Munich re-released some of those top models from the 1970s. With minimal restyling, these score extremely well in today's streetscape.
