Although the two entrepreneurs originally only knew each other superficially, a strong bond quickly developed. “It’s been eight years now, and we’ve never had an argument,” says Caroline. “I think that says enough about how well it works.” The partnership feels like a marriage: intense, loyal, and perfectly balanced.
Two Stories also has a strong online presence. Thanks to a consistent Instagram strategy—centered around relatable reels with honest styling—their account has grown to over 60,000 followers. “We’re not young models,” says Miranda. “And that’s exactly why women relate to us. It’s real.” The videos in which Miranda showcases different outfits resonate because they inspire without intimidating.
Still, the core of their success lies in the personal connection with their customers. “Sometimes people joke, ‘Just go see my psychologist,’ when they send someone our way,” Caroline laughs. “People feel at ease with us. Whether they’re in the store or ordering via DM, we remember sizes, give personal advice, and always respond quickly.” Even customers they’ve never met in person develop a sense of trust through social media.
Their most important lesson after eight years in business? “Make sure it stays fun,” they both say. “It’s not a job—it’s our passion. But without a healthy work-life balance, you won’t sustain it.” A message every fashion professional should take to heart.
