At INTI, they are closely involved in every stage of the process – from design and dyeing the wool to knitting and final distribution. Otavalo, in the north of Ecuador, is the beating heart of their production and home to around 500 dedicated knitters.
Their pieces combine contemporary design with authentic craftsmanship, created by artisans who use traditional techniques passed down through generations. Each piece is carefully hand-knitted, stitch by stitch, by local women who work from home – preserving a strong connection to cultural heritage.
They work exclusively with baby alpaca wool, valued for its softness, hypoallergenic properties, and premium quality – perfectly suited to today’s conscious consumer. Every garment carries a label with the name of its maker – a small gesture that creates a personal and emotional connection with the wearer.
