Floris van Bommel and Bravoer launch first dog snack with shoe flavor

11 September 2026

Not a collaboration, but a 'collabrador': shoe brand Floris van Bommel and dog food brand Bravoer join paws for a world premiere. Together they are launching the world's first dog snack with shoe flavor. The snack not only takes the form of a mini Floris van Bommel shoe but also offers the actual taste experience. In doing so, the brands are tapping into dogs' great love for shoes, which can now simply be eaten.

Floris van Bommel used his own dog Flapper as a test lab, taster, flavor developer, and consumer panel all in one. A mix of chicken, beef, and lamb provides the characteristic woody taste of a sturdy, vegetable-tanned outsole. In terms of bite, the treat is reminiscent of a supple suede sneaker: firm, but not tough. According to Floris, these dog snacks even taste better than their own shoes. Finally, there's a shoe where dogs can sink their teeth into 'barking deliciously'. The dog snacks with shoe flavor are available for enthusiasts in individual boxes or in a retro limited edition storage tin.
