ABOUT RIFFLE AMSTERDAM
Riffle sees treasures as small animals, stones, or old coins. A fish darting away between water plants or a bird spreading its wings for the very first time. They search for happiness in quirky and amusing little creatures.
They can feel everything around them, even with their eyes closed. Wind, grass, sand. A natural color palette of powdery tones combined with a powerful contrast, such as the shimmering gold of a sunset or the deep blue of a swirling winter sky.
The first Riffle collection is characterized by wide-leg trousers, suits, and sweaters combined with shorts or skirts. Everything is made from airy fabrics that drape smoothly and feel comfortable to wear. Freedom of movement forms the foundation… after all, a riffle can only exist through movement.
The story behind Riffle
Riffle was created almost without anyone realizing it. After 20 years of working with great dedication and passion on building the brand Snoozebaby, it was time for Marleen Rameckers to take on a new challenge.
She found the process of creating clothing collections very interesting and versatile, because each season you can build a collection entirely from scratch based on a theme. The dynamic is very different, but after two seasons they were fully immersed in it.
At Riffle, the aim is to think from a baby’s perspective and ensure they always have freedom of movement, while still looking attractive. Sometimes certain fabrics are reused from previous seasons because they worked very well, helping to emphasize the brand’s identity and stability.
The sizes range from 50 to 128 and the brand is GOTS-certified. In addition, only what is ordered is produced to prevent overproduction, and nothing is sold through their own website. All traffic is directed to boutiques. The brand is sold in several stores in its home market, the Netherlands, and through agents in the US, Spain, Belgium, and Australia within a wide network of boutiques.
